I tried Sawmill Creek Merlot red wine.
After trying the Autumn Blush by the same company I didn't have high hopes but it was actually pretty good. Again, it's an inexpensive wine at 16$ for a 1.5 L bottle but for the low price, I found it was a decent quality wine.
It claims to be velvety and smooth with notes of blackberry.
I would agree with that and that it's also easy drinking. It has a rich red colour and smells like ripped fruits.
It paired very well with salmon but is also good to drink on it's own.
The packaging for the bottle is appealing and it comes in different sizes.
It's very affordable, and easy to find at either Wine Rack or the LCBO.
Overall, I was pleased with this wine and probably would buy again.
